  • Notes

    • In the 1901 census he is living with his brother Allan and family at Abbey. In 1911 census he is also there but is listed as a widower. Allan's daughter Dolly remembered or was told of how Eliza turned up with her sister looking for Joseph. W hen Allan or Margaret told her he was in the fields out the back of the house, that he worked and lived with them she realised he hadn't much money and left without seeing him.
